BR0012 Mechanical Stag Beetle Building Set – Poseable Cyber Insect Brick Model

DEDICATED TO MECHANICAL INSECT BUILDERS AND CYBER-BUILD COLLECTORS.

🪲⚙️ A Mechanical Stag Beetle That Poses, Grips and Comes Alive — Brick by Brick

A 983-piece cyber-insect build with articulated legs, poseable mandibles, a display stand and an exposed mechanical skeleton. Static out of the box — or add the separately sold motor kit for powered crawling motion.

What Is BR0012?

BR0012 is a 983-piece mechanical stag beetle building set that turns one of nature’s most recognisable insects into a poseable cyber-mechanical specimen. The build combines segmented armour plates, six articulated legs and the beetle’s signature oversized mandibles with an exposed joint structure — part insect, part machine. A display stand is included for stable shelf presentation.

Out of the box it is a static, fully hand-poseable display model — no batteries, no wiring. The limbs hold their pose, the mandibles open and close, and the mechanical linkages stay visible. A separately sold motor upgrade kit adds powered crawling motion later if you want it. Built for adult builders, insect fans and STEM learners aged 14+.

The stag beetle is nature’s own mechanical design: armoured, symmetrical, built for leverage. Its mandibles are not decorative — they are tools. Its legs are not props — they grip, climb and brace. BR0012 translates that logic into brick form, keeping the joints exposed so you can see how the machine moves. It is not a replica. It is a study in insect engineering.

📦 What’s in the standard set
  • 983 precision ABS bricks — staged in numbered bags by build phase
  • Segmented armour plates forming the beetle’s shell
  • Six articulated legs — each poses independently
  • Oversized poseable mandibles that open and close
  • Exposed mechanical joint structure and linkages
  • Display stand included — stable presentation for shelf or desk
  • Full-colour illustrated step-by-step assembly manual

Static build: no batteries, no motor, no wiring. Every mechanical feature — legs, mandibles, joints — operates by hand, every time. The standard set contains no motor or electronics.

🪲 Poseable mechanical anatomy

Giant mandibles: the beetle’s signature pincers adjust open and closed for a fighting or resting pose. They hold their position without drooping.

Six articulated legs: each leg poses independently, so the beetle can stand, climb an edge or brace for display. The joints are precision-moulded to move smoothly without going loose.

Exposed joint structure: the mechanical linkages stay visible — part armour, part machine. This is a display model that rewards close inspection.

Because everything holds its pose, it works as a desk piece you can re-stage whenever you like.

⚙️ Optional motor upgrade — sold separately

Want it to move on its own? The separately sold Motor Upgrade Kit installs into the body and brings the mechanism to life with powered crawling motion. It runs on AAA batteries (not included).

The standard set ships with no motor and no electronics — add the kit only if and when you want the powered version.

Note: batteries are not included due to shipping restrictions — please supply your own. If you are unsure which battery type fits, contact us at support@brickroyal.com.

🏗️ Design & make — mechanical detailing

Layered armour plates build up the beetle’s segmented shell, while the underside and joints expose the mechanical skeleton — a “specimen meets machine” look that suits a bookshelf, gaming desk or collection cabinet.

At 14.4 inches (36.5 cm) long, it reads clearly across the room. The cyber-insect styling uses dark armour with gold and yellow mechanical accents — a bold, futuristic specimen look.

Materials & craftsmanship: bricks are high-toughness injection ABS with a firm, consistent clutch that holds poses and survives repeated rebuilds. Joint parts are precision-moulded so the legs and mandibles move smoothly without going loose. Edges are smooth and burr-free for comfortable handling.

The mechanical linkages stay visible — part armour, part machine — making this a collector build that rewards close inspection.

🧠 Build experience & STEM learning

Building BR0012 walks through insect body structure — head, thorax, abdomen, six-leg layout — alongside mechanical joint logic and load-bearing assembly. A hands-on mix of entomology and engineering that also trains spatial reasoning and patience.

The build is detailed but approachable for adult builders aged 14+. Numbered bags and a full-colour manual keep each phase clear. Expect a rewarding multi-session project.

A collector build with real mechanical logic — not a quick toy assembly.

🎁 Who it’s for & gifting notes

BR0012 suits adult builders, insect enthusiasts, STEM learners and collectors who want a mechanical display piece with real poseability. It is also a strong gift for anyone who enjoys entomology, cyber-mechanical design or building-block models with exposed engineering.

The compact gift box (35 × 7.5 × 23.5 cm) makes it easy to store or wrap. The standard set is complete for static display — display stand included, no batteries or extra purchases needed.

A premium collector build for ages 14 and up. Not a children’s toy.

🖼️ Display value & care

The exposed mechanical skeleton and cyber-insect armour give BR0012 a strong display presence. The included display stand keeps it stable on a desk, shelf or collection cabinet, and the poseable legs let you re-stage it whenever you like.

Care: dust with a soft dry cloth and keep out of prolonged direct sun. Don’t force the leg or mandible joints. If you add the motor kit, follow its instructions and remove batteries for long-term storage.

A mechanical specimen that holds its pose — ready for display, ready to re-stage.

Real questions, straight answers

What builders ask before choosing this mechanical insect brick set.

“Do the legs and mandibles really hold their pose?”

Yes. The joints are precision-moulded to move smoothly and hold position. Each of the six legs poses independently, and the mandibles open and close. The model stays in the pose you set.

“Does the standard set include a display stand?”

Yes. The display stand is included in the standard set — no extra purchase needed. It keeps the beetle stable on a shelf or desk and is part of the display value.

“Does the standard set include a motor?”

No. The standard set is a static, hand-poseable model with no motor and no electronics. The Motor Upgrade Kit is sold separately and adds powered crawling motion. It uses AAA batteries, which are not included.

“How difficult is the build at 983 pieces?”

Mid-to-high difficulty — rewarding for adult builders aged 14+. Numbered bags and a full-colour illustrated manual keep each phase clear. Expect a multi-session build that pays off in a detailed, poseable mechanical specimen.

“What if a piece is missing or damaged?”

Email admin@brickroyal.com within 48 hours with a short unboxing video and clear photos. Confirmed missing or damaged parts are replaced free — no return needed.

“Is this suitable for children?”

BR0012 is an adult collectible recommended for ages 14+. Contains small parts — not suitable for children under 3 (choking hazard). Younger builders should build only under adult supervision.

“Can I add the motor later?”

Yes. Build the standard static model first, then add the separately sold Motor Upgrade Kit whenever you want powered motion. The standard set ships without the motor and without electronics.

Pose It. Grip It. Display It. Then Make It Crawl.

983 bricks. Articulated legs. Poseable mandibles. Display stand included. Exposed mechanical skeleton. Static out of the box — motor-upgradeable when you want more.
