🟡🔧 Yellow Forks. Floating Rear Wheel. The Build That Shows Its Own Engineering.

The single-sided swingarm is a mechanical statement as much as a structural choice — it leaves the rear wheel appearing to float, supported from one side only, the disc brake and sprocket fully exposed to view.

BR60515 makes that statement in 563 precision ABS bricks at 1:8 scale: gloss black with bright yellow upside-down forks, carbon-look panels and a single-sided swingarm carrying the rear wheel. A see-through engine block reveals pistons that move as you roll it. The front and rear suspension compress. The drivetrain cycles. This is a brick-building model that rewards builders who like to look at how things work.

The single-sided swingarm arrived in production motorcycles as a suspension engineering solution — simpler wheel removal, cleaner aesthetics, the ability to show the wheel hub and disc detail without obscuring them behind a conventional double-sided arm. Over time it became an aesthetic choice as much as a technical one: bikes fitted with single-sided swingarms signal that the designer wanted the rear wheel to be seen. A building-block model that replicates the swingarm at 1:8 scale is making the same statement at a different scale: look at this, it matters.

At 563 bricks, BR60515 is a focused build with a specific visual payoff — the rear wheel appears to float in space, held by the single arm, disc and sprocket fully exposed. The bright yellow upside-down forks give the front end its strongest accent against the gloss-black body; the carbon-look panels add surface texture without adding colour. Roll the model and the pistons move inside the clear engine block, the drivetrain cycles through the single-sided swingarm mechanism, and the suspension compresses. No batteries. No electronics. The mechanics are the feature.

📦 What's in the brick set

Included: 563 precision ABS bricks in gloss black with bright yellow accents; bright yellow upside-down front forks; a see-through engine block with moving pistons; a single-sided swingarm; front and rear suspension; front and rear disc brakes; a clear headlight; carbon-look panels; fat rubber tyres; full-colour illustrated step-by-step assembly manual.

Static build: no batteries, no motor, no wiring — every mechanical feature operates by hand.

🏍️ Design and colour detail

BR60515 uses two materials language simultaneously: the gloss-black body and the bright yellow mechanical elements. Every yellow component marks something functional:

  • Yellow upside-down forks — the most visually assertive element; large-diameter inverted fork tubes in yellow ABS dominate the front profile
  • Single-sided swingarm — the defining structural feature; the rear wheel appears to float, supported from one side, disc and sprocket fully visible
  • Carbon-look panels — surface texture on the body adds depth without introducing a third colour
  • Clear headlight — a round headlight at the front; the transparent element sits cleanly against the black fairing

Gloss-black ABS shows fingerprints. Handle from the frame and swingarm; clean with a soft dry cloth only. The yellow fork finish is plated — avoid hard contact.

⚙️ Moving pistons, chain drive and working suspension

Single-sided swingarm drivetrain: the rear wheel is carried on one side of the swingarm. The drivetrain runs through the arm to the rear sprocket — roll the model and the whole mechanism cycles. Disc and sprocket remain fully visible throughout.

See-through piston engine: the engine block is transparent — pistons and crankshaft linkage visible from outside. Roll the model and the pistons cycle simultaneously with the rear wheel turning through the swingarm.

Working suspension: yellow upside-down front forks compress and return under hand pressure. Rear shock does the same. Firm, short travel reflecting the naked-roadster geometry.

Static and unpowered — no batteries, no charging. Everything works by hand every time.

Real questions, straight answers

Everything builders ask before choosing this brick set.

"What makes the single-sided swingarm special?"

The rear wheel is supported from one side only — the disc brake, sprocket and hub are fully visible from the other side. The wheel appears to float, which gives the right-side display view of the finished model a dramatically different character from any double-sided swingarm motorcycle in the range.

"How difficult is the build and how long does it take?"

Mid-difficulty at 563 bricks — one to two comfortable sessions. The swingarm mechanism is the most mechanically interesting phase. Numbered bags and a full-colour illustrated manual keep each stage clear. Suitable for ages 14 and up.

"How stable is it on a desk or shelf?"

Assembled: 12.9 × 5.1 × 6.9 in (32.7 × 13 × 17.5 cm). Stands on its own wheels. Tight ABS lock-fit keeps the chassis stable. The 6.9 in height is taller than most 1:8 cruiser builds — allow vertical clearance on display shelving.

"What if a piece is missing or my set arrives damaged?"

Email admin@brickroyal.com within 48 hours of delivery with a short unboxing video and clear photos. Confirmed missing or damaged parts replaced free — no return needed.

"Is this suitable for children?"

BR60515 is an adult collectible, recommended for ages 14 and up. Contains many small parts — not suitable for children under 3 (choking hazard). Younger builders must build only under adult supervision.
