Yes. On the static set you open and close the butterfly doors by hand, and raise and lower the adjustable rear wing through its mechanical transmission by hand. Fitting the RC kit simply makes both functions motorized and remote-controlled.

The electroplating is what gives the mirror-like metal lustre, so treat those parts with a little care. Avoid heavy scraping during assembly to prevent the coating from peeling, dust the model with a soft dry cloth, and keep it out of prolonged direct sun.

The engine linkage, gear transmission and four-wheel suspension are the most rewarding assemblies, and the electroplated bodywork needs a careful hand.
