Out of the box it's a static display model — no batteries needed. It's built RC-ready: an optional motor-upgrade pack (2.4G remote, drive motor, servo, rechargeable battery box) is sold separately, and you assemble the RC parts yourself to add remote-control driving. Batteries are not included.
